In 1996, I chose Lafayette with my husband as the place to raise our family. Since then, people have asked me why I spend so much time volunteering. It is simple. I loved Lafayette then, and I still want to make it the best it can be.
As a four-time President of the Lafayette School Board, I advocate tirelessly for high-quality education and adequate funding for our students.
As co-chair of the Lafayette Library Community Campaign, I helped raise $13 million to build our award-winning library. In 17 years on the Lafayette Community Foundation Board, I directed the funding of $500,000 for programs and projects that enhance our City.
My experience is to work collaboratively to get things done. I listen to community concerns and have made a difference in Lafayette for two decades. It would be an honor to serve you on the City Council.
